It’s November, and this month is considered Gracious Month—a time to celebrate family and friends, to find gratitude in every moment, and to remember just how blessed we are. We’re encouraged to be thankful, grateful, and present.
But the truth is, some people and situations make it hard to feel that way. Some moments can make the hair on your neck stand up. I’ve given those people and situations a name: the green-eyed monsters.
I’m learning that these monsters live in a circus of their own making. Life may be chaotic for them, but it’s not my job to fix them or feed into their clown-like behavior. My job is to take care of myself.
So, here’s my reminder to you: don’t indulge in clown-like behavior. You don’t have to buy a ticket to their circus. Keep moving, focus on what brings you peace, and surround yourself with people who bring out the best in you, people you’re truly grateful for, and people who bring ease into your life.
Happy Gratitude Month
