The quality of your experience lies within your emotional intelligence. Once you learn to take nothing personally and embrace a rags-to-resilience mindset, you will become stronger.

What is RAGS?

My Reality Isn’t Good, Shoot! I’m going through things I can’t seem to shake. Trials and tribulations are hitting me from all angles, and I’m not an octopus—I don’t have enough arms to stop them.

What is Resilience?

I am ready to take on the green-eyed monster. That monster is never bigger than my faith. Pessimism will not be my downfall.

I will seek the truth and the resources I need to defeat the monster. This, too, shall pass!

I’m not saying that RAGS aren’t experiences that can shift our narrative in a way that negatively impacts us. I am saying that RAGS should build resilience.

At the end of the day, what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger! We must nourish our emotional bank account to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Get some racks and stop focusing on the rags!
